Exteriors

Sunlight can be stronger overall generally, and not so much in a beam. Although sometimes, as in woodland, a strong shaft of light can be observed entering and starkly illuminating a section with dramatic effects.

Bright, outdoor natural light enables detailed observation of the form, colour and texture of many surfaces, including wood, metal, stones, foliage.

Water and reflections on its surface really interests me, especially when they are distorted by movement caused by the wind.

I also love the way that time can be observed by erosion, rusting and moulding on surfaces affected by the damp and salt on a beach.
